FMCSA requires drug and alcohol tests after an accident if:
1) Anyone has to be taken away from the scene for medical attention AND you get a citation, or
2) Any vehicle has to be towed from the scene AND you get a ticket. And
3) there is a fatality and this time it doesn't matter if you are cited or not..
Many companies will send you for these tests anyway, and personally, I would want to do one to eliminate any doubt about my sobriety. CYA.mjd4277, Boondock, Grumppy and 1 other person Thank this. -
