I just bought one at wal mart. Closeout for $97. It’s a Galant brand. 3.5 or 3.7cf maybe. Draws the same amperage, as my old 1.7cf. That’s a surprise. The 1.7cf are about $69. They’re usually on sale every year when college is starting. It’ll run off a 1000w inverter. Maybe a 600w?? I don’t know. Draws about 450 watts .

That’s the best. 12v lasts a long time.

I just installed a new power inverter 3000. I installed a $70.00 fridge from Costco (about 34 inch by 18 inch ) mid brand 3.3 cu.ft. So far, it is amazing !!
I let the fridge on for about 4 Days /truck off, and did not drain my batteries. I wanted to test my batteries/fridge.

I had a new truck with a buil-in compressor fridge/freezer. It was slightly larger than a dorm fridge but it opend like a file cabinet, not just a swing-open door. It was in a 2021 KW T680. Being built-in it took up no extra space like a cooler and it kept frzen items frozen in the freezer section. I hear they cost at least $600. If you have to buy a cooler style fridge, I'd recommend Dometic brand. Whatever you get make sure it has a compressor.
