I'm looking for any first hand feedback on Belcher and Dennis doing business as ideal Transportation. They're a Landstar Ranger outfit out of Burton, Michigan.

I'm not finding much online about them, just wondering if anybody here has any first-hand experience?

Or maybe not.. it looks like something better may have come along.

Sure I'm glad I kept the safety record clean.

Well I've been driving for ideal Transportation for about 3 weeks something like that anyway very happy.

Small outfit only about 30 trucks or so.

I'm hauling a really excellent LandStar loads so far.

I'm pulling a step deck Conestoga which I'm very happy with.

Theyput me in a really sweet Cascadia, a 2021, it's decked out pretty nice it's definitely a drivers truck.

I'm very happy with this company so far, keep my fingers crossed.

Well things are still about the same as they were when I last posted; this job is going very well- I'm happy with the loads, I'm happy with the miles. The dispatch and load planners, these guys are actually really quite good.

I've had my TWIC for over 4 years now and I've used it more since I started driving for Ideal Transportation than I had in the previous 4 years.

I've hauled a couple of military loads, I've hauled one load that I just cannot talk about. I've hauled a couple of loads out of ports. The loads are mostly really light loads, easy loads. I've only had two loads so far that would actually be considered full truck loads, the rest have really been partial loads, which makes my job as a driver very easy and certainly increases my fuel economy.

The truck I'm in is really a nice truck, it's a New Cascadia, it's got the table and the chairs and fold down under the bed, fridge, electric APU, which I really like.

It's a really nice tractor and the trailer is a step deck Conestoga. This tractor does not have a bunch of collision avoidance gizmos on it and it's actually the first OTR truck that I've driven that does not have all that stuff on it. And it's an adjustment to driving without radar and Lane departure warnings and collision cameras and all that crap but I like it, it's a nice freedom to not have all that stuff although I hate to say it but the radar was kind of nice for especially in traffic especially if you got to like stop and go into construction zone because if you have your cruise control set up right those systems will keep you going down to about 10 miles an hour and the truck will drive itself which is pretty nice.

This one doesn't do that but I mean I got cruise control but I don't have radar so I have to actually, you know, drive.

Anyhow bottom line is I'm being paid well and I'm running loads that are planned very well and I am getting plenty of miles and I'm being treated with dignity and respect and I've been assigned very good equipment.

I guess my only complaint really is that I have to actually, you know, work.

Ok, well, this job didn't work out for me, but to be honest, it was a lot more to do with my own personal BS than with the company.

All of the good things I had to say about Ideal stand, and I won't go into any bad mouthing, because, honestly, they're a pretty good company to work for, not perfect, maybe, but none are. They kept me rolling, with pretty excellent loads. I was averaging about 3K miles a week, and the pay was fair, I was treated with respect, and the benefits were good.

    I'd recommend Ideal Transportation.
