Is it possible to drive a rental truck to prepare for a job driving a truck the same size and weight? Would it be a smart decision to rent a 26ft diesel powered box truck to prepare for a driving job where you would be driving a truck of the same size?

Posted a thread about something to assist with possibly getting a job driving and the name keeps on getting brought up... I have my goals set for getting my CDL when I'm ready to so avoid the name of my account before I changed it

Well, 1st of all, have you checked rental truck prices lately? If you can even find one. Probably more than you need to do concerning a straight box type truck job. They, with certain limitations, aren't much different than a pickup. Ma Kettle moving to the city and never drove a truck, could probably handle it. When renting a truck like that, from what I remember, not much of a trucking background is needed. You'll be fine.

Its a proven fact that renting a uhaul and driving it around town for a day is the best way to prepare for achieving a CDL. you should do that everyday from now until you get your cdl in the year 2027, when the world will probably already be in a nuclear holocaust.

No one will rent you a commercial truck without a commercial license. You could get a friend to get it in his name and let you drive but the insurance would never cover you if and when you get in an accident or hit the infamous 11’6” bridge.

WE received a Bakers Certificate with all the Tachyons from Gerber, so I can process and Rework all flavors of Baby Food Remnants from Discarded Containers near a Mental Health Hospital in a Backyard Production Facility Under the Overhead Tarmac of A Friends Pedal Car Build/Upgrade/Repair Shop, just down a ways from the Water Collection Reprocessing Center located inside a City Sub Basement Swimming Pool.
Soon I'll be a Certified Bird Farmer-Dresser which will certainly assist our Engineering Degree in Coronal-Ejection Targeting for Ford Prefect Freezer Assemblies as per Requirements supplied by Elonaquin Muskybits.

I love tequila was my first name on here because of the 7-8yr long ownership of a dog that I had a lot of issues with keeping... I'd prefer not to have that brought up to me because of what was involved with it
