We Haul allot of Super Train loads around Michigan and find that when the weather gets in the lower temps our bulk loads a manure/gypsum etc. will freeze up in the trains. Any trade tips on things we could use to help with this issue. Appreciate it.
Note: Brine was mentioned as a method but will not work in all cases

If you are running end dumps mount the vibco near the back in the middle.
My CV last job had a dry bulk division, grain ,fertilizer, salt, sodium sulfate among other products. We used vibcos on all trailers.snowman1980 and MCIRoger Thank this. -

Weld the plates to each hopper about 8 inches up from the bottom and plumb a air line fitting close to center between the brackets and use a 1/4 turn valve to regulate the speed of the unit.snowman1980 Thanks this. -
If possible unload the same day you load . A truck parked in yard a day or two is frozen most times.

As long as your not running feed we used to cut the release stuff with 911 power service, 35 ton frozen in the double plastic, double sprayed trailer in st ambrose Quebec in winter taught me that one.
snowman1980 Thanks this.
