I listened to a podcast today that brought out how the soldiers from WWII and Korea would tell their war stories until they died and how that was a sort of therapy for them. But that changed because of the political climate during Vietnam. The Vietnam vets didn’t speak about their experiences and that added to the PTSD.

When I was a young driver, I would listen to the old hands tell their stories, but now I wonder if the old hands did it for the same reason…
