You can bet with lumber he was maxed out. So 80,000. Last time I looked at Lumber loads the rates weren’t very good.

What is the loss of an innocent worth in terms of jail time? I haven’t even considered the other 20 vehicles and what kind of life altering injuries those people might have. And then there is the mental suffrage every time some of these people sit in backed up traffic. Some may never drive again.

He probably will be up for parole in 30 years. That should be sufficient time for him to think about what he’s done. Permanent revocation of CDL Privileges too! There will be Multiple Civil Suits he will have to face also.

You obviously don't or you're the world's dumbest troll. Attempting to argue with me because you're a child that cannot accept opposing viewpoints has gotten you added to my ignore list. Have a good day!

I can't accept opposing viewpoints? The irony. If only you knew just how often I have to accept opposing viewpoints on this site, and I've yet to press the ignore button on anyone on here. Someone doesn't agree with you, you press ignore on someone......who's the real child here? Anyway........

See, we've run the gamut here on this, and now we've shifted to our personal gripes. I think the general consensus is, he should be held accountable for his actions, the sentence was a bit harsh, and our trucking industry is at the bottom of the barrel with drivers like this. Before this gets axed too, we can all agree, this kid had no business doing what he was doing, and should never been hired for this in the 1st place. I've got news for you, this isn't over, by a long shot. Companies needing to fill the seats, have no choice but to hire drivers like this, I'm sure there's a list a mile long waiting for a chance to do this in a free country. If more people, like YOUR loved ones gets in the way, all you can hope for, is a miracle, because it's going to get worse, and quite frankly, I don't know how it's going to be fixed.

This guy clearly was not worried about stoping going down that hill. All the videos show that he was capable of slowing down or even stoping without the run away ramp. He was going slow and swerving all over the place.

guilty as charged!!! There was more than brake failure going in with this guy.

Sign the petition, please. Donate and Share or write to Gov. Polis.

This sets a very dangerous precedent for truckers. Be careful what you wish for.

It does set a precedent. One that says if you intentionally kill 4 people you will go to jail for the rest of your life.
Some would call that a good precedent.
And don't say it wasn't intentional. It was found intentional in a court of law (or else the 1st degree assault charges would not have been a guilty charge.)

    Gatordude Thanks this.
