Pilot east of Baton Rouge on i12

Baton Rouge is totally f’ed as far as truck stops go. Even on the west side of the Mississippi River bridge those are always packed, and dirty and the employees not the best. Seems a bit better the ones around Lafayette.

 

Oh #### man, Denham Springs is a no go for me.....that ain't a Pilot, that's a piece of Pilot. Though Hammond isn't much better, but I'll say it's a little easier to navigate.

 

That one is like the Mr Fuel (former Peelot) in Pooler, GA... you only make the mistake once.

 

You're right....then you start a "Do Not Stop" list for truck stops that suck, and Pilots have the most entries on my list. Cedar Rapids, IA location is about as bad too.

 

Sounds like a HUGE MANATEE

 

Add the Pilots in Minooka and Channahon.

 

The TA in Montgomery Alabama is a lovely place too.

 

If you really need to stay in that area, Fred’s truckstop on hwy 30 in St Gabriel La. is not a bad place.

 

Sawyer, MI, TA and the Benton Harbor truck stops (Pilot and TA). You only make those mistakes a few times. That 30-mile stretch is out.

Oh, and the Lake Station, IN, truck stops. Yeeeeeeuck.
