Your post was right above one that said "what is my fuel tank capacity", so I'm thinking you removed your fuel tank. Then your first comment was "I loved it", so I'm scratching my head! Then it dawned on me that you're now a tanker yanked and it all makes sense. Enjoy

Let me guess, it wasn't food grade.

My first ever tank load was hauling milk, I wanted to quit!.

Hooked into a spare trailer while mine was getting serviced, mine has a cone inside so you don't feel much surge, this one doesn't. Right after I loaded and was driving to the scale I went to grab 4th gear and the truck took off like a rocket. Missed 5th, missed 6th, truck came to an abrupt halt and BOOOOM. Lol scared the crap out of me

At the end of a week 2000+ miles, my neck and back would hurt. I-81 in pa sucked. I10 around lake Charles was horrid. I miss the order of chemical plants. I don't miss the acid suit or the ride.

I agree, but the surge is something you learn to love. When I pull anything but a tanker I get frustrated because I brace for the BANG, but it never comes lol pulled up to the Kwik fill at the 133 on I80 in PA today, they pump your fuel. Pulled the parking brake, said "both tanks bud" and he just stood there watching the truck rock back and forth. I said "talk nice to her, she'll calm down"

And to the OP, wait until you have to sit on a scale for 15 mins, then they say "pull around and move your 5th wheel"

Or they tell you to release your brakes on the scale while it's still surging

I’m a local fuel joker in MI. I know how to go around one weigh station and the other one we usually pass by is more often than not closed. That may have something to do with winter tho lol and general laziness of the police

Working at an acid plant, had one driver decide to 'break in' the new to us mechanic on 2nd shift. Here he comes from the plant with a flat on the pre-load.

Stops on the ramp into the open bay, rolls back and then 'horses' it up an into the bay. pops the brakes and jumps out, grabs the new guy by the shoulders and drags his nose close to the spike in the tire.

All the while, attracted by his shenanigans, I'm standing there listening to the acid [15+ lbs/gal] sloshing back and then it surges back, just as the guy's nose gets close; BAM it hits the front head and the whole unit chirps forward around 6 - 8 inches leaving skid marks on the concrete.

The kid was cool and didn't leave his own skid marks.
