I've been looking to add a heavy duty single car trailer to my truck for versatility and load opportunities. I need a 102" deckover open trailer that is 24 foot hitch to bumper in order to keep my truck under 65 feet, so i am looking at 18 footers. Need a 102" width to be able to haul dually trucks.

Take 3 has an almost perfect trailer but they have a 6 month wait on the build time. I have messaged multiple trailer fabricators and getting the same answers. I thought about buying a used deck over utility trailer and just stripping the wood and welding on pooch decking.

Thought i'd ask you guys if you know any shop that can build me a copy of take 3's ultimate one car within a month or two? (The sooner the better).

I plan on having short ramps from trailer to truck so I can load the truck without unhooking from the trailer.

    Pics for reference:

Since posting this I might have found someone to build it for me.

If any mods pass by feel free to delete if you please.

I’d like that trailer if it was 4’ longer and a gooseneck on the front. But I really like it.

I am looking for the same trailer. Who did you find that could build it?

My last trip out to Cali, I saw a truck like yours but the guy had a 2 car trailer that looked like you could load to the truck directly from the trailer but he was carrying 3 sprinters. 2 on the trailer 1 on the truck.

To me, the biggest issue with a short trailer like that is it will be a lot harder to back up because it will turn faster than a long trailer but also might be hard to see in your mirrors.

Yea a stinger steer truck and trailer . They are allowed up to 80 feet I think. I am told because I will be using a bumper hitch I am limited to 65.
I'm just stressed out from a very slow December and thinking how to up my gross or at least add versatility to what I can carry.

Ahh oh I couldn't tell if it was a stinger or bumper because I passed him on the interstate going the other way. However, had the same 2 car bed as you have.

For myself, Dec was not bad but I did a Cali run from FL then 1 all the way back to TN, and a bit after that before I came home for Christmas. I hadn't done a Cali run in a while though but that helped. Rates out of Cali were a bit ####ty though because I was going the more desirable winter route being I don't run WY, CO ect in the winter so I couldn't head north where the money was paying.
Getting out of FL was a PITA though that's why I went to Cali because ended up being the only load paying worth a crap.

I can find good paying loads heading south from nyc area down to N/S Carolina but coming back is always horrible. I also avoid snow/ice areas this time of year. The week before christmas I drove home empty from myrtle beach 650 miles. I was seething the whole way back. Brokers were fighting tooth and nail over every penny and shocked when said I'd rather deadhead rather than touch a 50 cent mile car. There were some vans and pickup trucks paying $1 a mile but I can't fit 2 of them and would need a tiny/low car to fit with a large truck.
I either need to find a good one car heavy duty trailer able to haul a dually truck/sprinter or scrap my truck build and sell the bed and just go back and reinstall my 5th wheel and buy a suncountry or something. The stinger option has passed my mind but imagine driving a 75 footer through NYC streets...

It will be 2 months before I can have the 1 car built. Lets see how it goes.
