Do thank your for your service. Think we're picking at straws here! Personal vehicle vs CMV no difference. Who doesn't have a permit? I do. Honestly I think the whole CCP is a bunch of bull squeeze. Only reason I got one was so if I happen to run into some LEO who thought their badge was a crown, I wouldn't have any headaches. I believe the 2nd is EVERYONES right to carry permit!

There is too many crazy or down on their luck people out there in this day in time, not to take you & your familys safety into your own hands!

I agree that people should be aloud to protect themselves, but there is other options while in a truck..And I dont think truck stops are the place to be firing off a weapon..I agree with needing a permit to carry..Thats why places like California and New York have such strong gun laws..To many guns in the wrong hands..Thats why you need the permits,so the state knows who is deemed "safe and not to crazy" to carry concealed...People just cant do what they want,we have ruined that for ourselves..

Anywhere you need to protect yourself is the appropriate place to fire a weapon. You honestly think permits will keep guns out of the hands of the wrong people?:biggrin_25523: My carjacker sure had a gun but no permit, maybe cause he had more felony convictions than I have socks.

Yeah I have a ccp permit & one registerd pistol, but the rest are not. Don't want to end up like those folks in New Orleans after katrina! With the lovely Natl gaurd & local LEO seizing their "permited" guns.

You want the gov to deem who is "safe & not too crazy" to be armed, thats hillarious, The gov agencys such as DSS or CPS can't even protect kids from "unsafe & crazy" parents!

Seems like you have the follow orders & trust the gov mindset.

Do you think teachers should carry in inner city schools?Lets say you believe they should..Lets say you lived in the inner city..Lets say your kid was in that classroom, when the teacher drew their weapon and shot..The bullet missed its target, hit your kid, and your kid is dead..I never heard of anyone getting their guns taken away down there..And not every gun that you buy (atleast in ohio) has to be registered..The home is way different then a truckstop...There should be some rules in society when it comes to guns..

Sodbuster...you'll never win this battle. now teachers in schools shouldnt carry. he's obviously anti-gun and says he's not cuz he thinks it's ok to have a gun in your house, if the government deems you fit.
ask the parents of the 17 kids killed at va tech if they wish their kids teachers had been armed. so now no guns in trucks, no teachers carrying, anywhere else they shouldn't be? how about no guns in any towns, because you might hit the wrong person.
As for Katrina....just because you never heard about it doesn't mean it didn't happen, it absolutely did.
Many states do require registering all guns, others require all handguns to be registered.

Wouldn't send my boys to an inner city "that's child abuse" outer city school not much better.

Yes teachers should be allowed to carry, honestly I'm more worried about the whacked out kid from the single parent home that thinks "nobody likes me" bringing a gun to school, than an adults aiming abilty. But if it did come down to my kid getting hit by the teachers miss, yes I would be destroyed but I have to believe the teachers actions would prevent loss of other childrens life vs them standing there saying "sit down johnny". Wait I thought those permits was suppose to keep guns out of the hands of crazy people?

It's not been that awful long ago since I was in HS well 93, But allmost every pickup truck had a gun rack with a 22 shotgun or bigger during hunting season, I even had a .45 cal old Colt Peacemaker under my seat # 16. Wonder why there was never any school shootings with soo many guns there. Was plenty of good ole fist fights but no one ever went for a gun.

Check out these links reguarding the lovely Gov actions in New Orleans if you don't believe me. The first video just shows how "brave" the boys with badges are.

BTW If your still inlisted you should check out Oathkeepers

I have a glock 20 (10 mm) a 7x75 mauser,a remington 870 tactical, a mosin nagant 91/30, a thompson center omega bp rifle, and my s&w model 29 44 mag.And alot more to come for sure..Maybe that will help you comprahend things better..As far as registering, thats why I said,"atleast in ohio"..And even in OH you dont have to register hand guns..At this point you are just trying to be dumb about me thinkin no one should have a gun in a town..

I know I want, Just trying to make him think. Honestly I wouldn't care if the teachers # my kids school carried, willing to bet most of the male teachers have them in their cars. Two of my oldest sons teachers are in the same hunting club I am & would completly trust them to be armed at work.
