It always amazed me how any time it dips below freezing in Louisiana just for a short time, pipes burst, blocks of engines crack. My moms husband built their house. Pipes were below the slab. Had to do a bypass repair outside. Brittle old pvc and cpvc and thin L type copper pipes burst easy. Leaving the faucets at a trickle, will avoid a problem. Better safe than sorry.
