Hello all, this is my first year o/o and I have a c-15 that is starting to struggle to stay at temp when idling or not into the gas much downhill ect. Today will be even colder and I cannot get official winter front until I get home. Can anyone give me some tips on how to properly put the cardboard up? I know that CAC needs some air….

Most ive ever seen have about a 1/3rd of the grill uncovered in the front. Id just put a nice elongated hexagon in the middle. As to how to secure them, small zipties. About one every 6 to 10 inchs depending on guage of zip tie and cardboard. So around 5 per side.

Thermostats are fine to my knowledge, I changed both a couple months ago with water pump. I’ll have to get my temp gun on it

Cover the lower third to half of the radiator... Zip the the cardboard directly to the radiator.

Does the engine fan shut off when the coolant temp drops?

Engine fan is hardly on if ever when it’s this cold out. But if it cuts on, yes it cuts itself back off

My winter front came in today, and I’m going to head to truck and install it today. My question is how do install these turnbuckles? Each takes two screws, do I have to screw into the metal surrounding the grille? That would suck
