I don't know for sure. They're rated for the same amount of torque, so I'm guessing the housing, input, and output would be the same, but the gears would be different sizes to change the ratio. @nasriza would probably know.

    Siinman Thanks this.

No one is direct drive one spin of input one spin tail shaft usually faster diffs with this one is over drive one spin input around 1.4 spins tail shaft with slower differential ratio. Xe pck Volvo is ato with 2.64 ratio super fast 1500rpm around 80mph. At with 2.64 1500rpm around 70 to 72 mph

Can not be interchanged if they r u need someone really good with programming to make trans shift right might loose a lot of pulling power going from at to ato or loose top end going from ato to at.

best way I can explain hope this helps.

    Siinman and loudtom Thank this.

So am I understanding right, it can be installed without different parts but it is going to be a big issue with fixing the programming?

Not a big issue but u really have to know what you are doing in order to make it work being that also need to change programming in abs module and also vecu and Ecm Volvo dealer is no help they have never seen #### like this. On top of everything you need to make sure ratios work together mechanically if u put at with 3.23 you won’t be able to get over 60 mph without blowing pistons out of block. So there is a lot of things that need to be looked at but technically it would could be done I’ve done it a few times people wanted more pulling power and less speed so went to at from ato but it’s a process to do right anyone can bolt it in but other #### is a different story.

I know I'm jumping on an old thread, but can anyone tell me the difference between a ATO2612D and a ATO2612C? I'm not finding much on the internet, about the 'C', it looks like most trucks have the 'D" version. Unfortunately our truck has the 'C' model, and it just puked. It has a PTO and wetline, but we had that put in, so I wouldn't think that had anything to do with it being a "C" model. Any thoughts? I don't want to toss 10k at the wrong solution. THANKS!
