North Platte, NE at the J.

No pplan so far, and one guy is hogging all the washing machines.
I get in there and there is 5 and 9 minutes remaining on the two washers that are working.
10 minutes later and this guy is pulling out to the dryer and putting in to the washers saying he has a lot of laundry to do.
I only need 1!. And he needs at least 4? !!!

Where does he find room for all those clothes in his truck?
Not to mention, it is very rude to hog all the washing machines when someone else is waiting for just 1.

Well I got my laundry done today, mainly because my CDL is on hold.

The DMV didn't get the medical certificate and self-certification soon enough and put my license on hold today.
Everything is uploaded now, and I'll just have to wait until everything clears with them.

I'm stuck here for the moment.

I checked the MN DMV website this morning and they had already processed the med stuff, so I was good to go once Swift took me off hold.
That didn't take long and I got a nice load going to Westrock in Saint Paul, MN for my home time load.

45 mph winds tonight and tomorrow with some snow and frigid temps coming in, so I may not be able to deliver this until Thursday.

    Lupton az at speedy.
got to final around 0830 this morning.
had a 0900 appointment. for live unload.
gave .e a door and opened trailer doors to find that 2 palletts fell over. ( beer load).
took pic and backed into door.
walked in and told receiver(he is the one that unloads you too). I told him iwould pick it up.
so he explained how he wanted it done and took me 1.5 hrs to get it all arranged. separated the good from the bad.
140 cases and only 50 cases were good from those 2 pallets.
finally got Mt and driver leader said no loads
. so he had me deadhead here.
came here due to snow on i70 for the.other driver.
he was 39 miles short tonight when he ran out of hours.
I got here with 19 minutes to spare on 14.

Yup, decided to shut down in Sioux City, IA today.
45+ gusts all the way here (well, 80 miles or so) and snow all around St. Paul, and it will be better tomorrow.

I won't even be late (just later) since I have until 2359 tomorrow to deliver.

    The_vett Thanks this.

    Back home tonight.

I got to try out the NOCO jump starter this afternoon... twice.
That is such a cool little device.
I hooked it up, turned it on and set the boost mode, and the engine turned over.
A bit sluggish because of the extreme cold, but it started right up.
I had to jump it again when I came out from the store.
That took about 25% of the NOCO's charge.
2.4 pounds of pure jump start power. I love it.

I'm headed to Pep Boys tomorrow for a new battery, but I'm sure glad I bought that NOCO.
It saved hours of time waiting on a repair truck, and the cost of the NOCO was less than probably a singe road call.

    I know!

I had to get my truck jump started a few months ago.
A guy came out in a little car and stepped out with a lunchbox sized box... a similar type jump starter.
He hooked it and said start it up, and it did, just like that.

A couple days later I needed another jump. This time a repair truck came out and hooked up the cables between his truck and mine.
It took a good 5 minutes before I had enough charge to start the truck.

That little NOCO takes up less room than cables, and is much faster and easier.

I needed one before my next home time, and Walmart carries them.
There was one left at the Walmart I found it in, and the guy said they are hard to keep in stock.
As soon as they come in, they go out.

    JoeyJunk and The_vett Thank this.

other driver didn't run due to wind and weather. he says Denver closes its terminal to bad weather.
so picked load up from Walmart in Eastlake ca and tcalled it here.
this place is a mess. trailer and trucks parked everywhere.
no where to park so dumped trailer next to the os@d building.
have a pickup in Tracy ca that delivers in San Bernardino ca anytime today.

    Fargo, ND at the Petro.

Got a Costco load out from home time that was already 2 days late.
I thought the loads would be caught up by this time, but I guess not.

I can't wait to see my fuel mileage at the end of this month. I had idled the truck for my entire home time, and with this cold it is still idling tonight.
