This is always my point to this debate as well. Neither ELDs, paper nor the HOS are making anyone do anything and they don't make decisions for people. People make decisions. Some good. Some bad. The responsibility is on the individual. The real issue I have is with the tracking of ELDs when off duty.
ELDs encourage unsafe driving when uncontrollable delays occur.

And just on a side note, I neither noticed nor cared where I was within the site. I saw an interesting topic, I responded. ELDs have benefits for all. Are they perfect for everyone? Certainly not. But if your reasoning is that you wanna work more than 70 hours per week, you'd better take your tired ### home and see the family.

JMO .. alot... [ NOT ALL ] that champagne for the ELDs are the ones that need a mechanical mother hen because their are the ones that can't think..
