Do not try to crank the truck with the jumper cables hooked up. Only use the reefer to charge the batteries. Leave the cables on for at least 30 minutes, remove them and try to start your truck. If it still won't crank, you probably have other issues or a shorted battery on your truck.

When doing this better quality cables seem to help with charging wait.

If you have a greased fifth wheel use both cables on the red (positive) side charge batteries for 45 minutes to a hour . Negative is only needed if you use plastic fifth wheel disk.
ABadAzzPete Thanks this. -
Bad idea. Find another truck and jump start away. Jumping the reefer is one thing, but the truck is a nope in my book. Don't burn out an alternator on the most expensive piece of equipment to have breakdown.
Get an apu. Mine will start from 10 volts, can testify
