Majority of all older used trucks they have are never fixed correctly, even bad or poor tires & are left up to the driver to figure out what's actually needed & pay for it out of pocket! If not they just take it out of your pay. Any equipment that gets broken they will bleed you for payments for as long as they please even though they have already gotten paid by the Insurance company! And you will not be owning that equipment!

You'll probably never be back but I'll ask anyways, were you a company driver or on a lease?

First sentence should be enough to make anyone walk away. If company driver, why pay for repairs. If its a lease, why the hell would you agree to lease a POS in the first place?

Broken equipment being paid for by the insurance company? Sounds a little more like you had a wreck.

I think the name says it all. But it does accurately define many in our profession.

If you are going to drive for any Chicagoland based company make sure they've deposited $5000 into your secure account as escrow ie: good faith money. If the employment ends satisfactorily for you, you would then return the escrow minus fees and out of pocket expenses within 30 days.
Otherwise tell em to pound sand..
