No clutch brake.
When using the car clutch, mash it all the way for longevity, a hydraulic system may be a little more forgiving and I doubt there are any remaining manuals using cable and linkage. A juice clutch is so much easier to tuck into the out of the way spots
Shift to neutral at stoplights.
You can float them but it's not the same as a big rig.LoneRanger Thanks this. -
Speedy356, Chieftains and Terlingua Thank this.

I’ve floated every stick car i’ve ever driven. From Muncie 4 speeds to Tremec 5 speeds. Even my ‘72 C10 with three on the tree. No harm done. Syncromesh boxes make it easier. Only thing that makes it hard to do is peddle location/position and size on some cars. Old non syncro 1st gear VW Beetles are fun to float but them tiny close together peddles make it challenging to down shift.

I "floated some Gears" in a '73 Mazda 4 Speed Wagon, not every time I drove, which eventually caused the Gearing to "stop meshing" to require replacement.
I stopped "speed shifting".

When I drove 6, 8, 9, 10, 13 Speed MANUAL OTR and Local 6/10 wheel Straight Trucks & Tractors, I used the Clutch TWICE: Starting and Stopping!

Our 2015 Hyundai is a 6 Speed Auto.
I DO miss a Manual but not likely anytime soon to acquire one.

Older (70's and back) Cars & Trucks had factory 2-4 speed Automatics.

Btw I cant stand coffee stains on the center console now that you mention it. I like a clean truck. My old truck assignment is now a spare. I drove it briefly the other day. Smells like cigarettes, coffee stains on the center console and instrument cluster. The driver that had it for awhile, what a pigAModelCat Thanks this. -
My 15 tacoma has a 5 speed stick , and strange as it may sound a manual toyota are rare and highly desirable especially in mountain states.
Speed_Drums and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
I ordered the car a couple weeks back. It will be at least march. My current car is a 01 grand prix GTP, I'll part it out and keep my summer toy 2003 SSEi Bonneville running, along with my wife's 97 grand prix (super clean low mileage example). I love 3800 powered cars but decent examples are hard to come by.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
