what does the title "retired driver" have to do with hair follicle testing..???
InTooDeep, austinmike, Aamcotrans and 5 others Thank this. -
So, you should wait for more than 90 days from your retirement day before lighting up a "Doobie" or rolling up that retirement check to snort the Majic Crystals.

Wife Has Drug Test (NOT Hair Follicle) Done Occasionally For Her Doctor(s) To Confirm Continuity Of Prescription and She's Been Retired A Few Years.
I Would Have Had ZERO PROBLEM With Hair Follicle Tests when O.T.R & Local unless the test somehow revealed something strangely unusual like too much Caffeine, Nicotine or an earlier Medical Prescription.

Crude Truckin', JoeyJunk, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this. -
While I freely admit I was a stoner back in the late 70's and very early 80's. I haven't touched the stuff since then. Also, I will be happy to smoke green stuff again someday when it won't have the consequences it would now. Obviously, I am not against Marijuana in way, shape or form. However, it has NO PLACE in a commercial driving environment. The personal reliability issues involved are pretty clear. As far as I'm concerned they should go back on a hair follicle test far as they can.
If you want to engage with pot, be my guest. But, if you want to drive a commercial vehicle, don't touch the stuff. I won't even try CBD personally, although from what I know, which isn't much, it really doesn't have any problematic effect.
If you're asking the question about how far back a hair follicle test goes, my advice is don't become a truck driver. Find a different line of work.Crude Truckin' and Lonesome Thank this. -
But...... they're "asking for a friend".....
