Curious if anyone is working there or has worked for them before. They're advertising on the TTR main jobs sections (not the thread list of jobs, the main TTR page). I have done a google search for driver reviews, but they're limited. It seems as though they haul those huge tires out and general freight back.
Does anyone know anything about the flatbed company named Watt & Stewart?

They primarily move mining tires from Michelin to the mines out west and up into western Canada. They are based out of Canada but have a US terminal in Lexington SC close to Michelin. That’s the extent of my knowledge.
Lonesome and supersnackbar Thank this. -
I worked for Watt & Stewart in Claresholm AB in 2012-2013. Was the best job I had in Canada in three years.
Then I got my Green Card and moved to the States, I started working for them in San Angelo TX. It was the time when they started their Lexington location.
Unfortunately I didn't get along with their dispatcher in San Angelo and left after four months.
Pay was decent at that time, I was working pretty much independent, made my own appointments for deliveries with customers. I loved it working there, just that dispatcher in San Angelo made it miserable.
If you contact them try to talk to John Stewart in Claresholm, that's what I did. When I started my job with them he asked me if I want to stay in Canada (I'm German). As I already knew that I will get the Green Card I told him that I will move to the States soon and he offered me a job there immediately.
If it wouldn't have been that ####### of dispatcher I would have stayed longer.
If you could get the lane from Lexington to Canada you would love it (in summer), winter can be a bit harsh.
This was eight years ago, no idea how it's today, hope you'll find a driver that's working there currently.
Edit: I think that dispatcher left a few months later when I was gone.
BTW: I'm a bit like you, I'm following your threads since you worked for Magnum, I feel your pain what you're going thru with all these companies!
Meanwhile I moved back to Europe, I'm living in Spain now since December 2020 and enjoy my retirement

Old thread but I saw one of their trucks on I-5 in Redding the other day hauling 4 tires that were 10-11’wide. Nice truck and trailer.
OLDSKOOLERnWV and cke Thank this.
