Can you run on the passenger side tank only?

i imagine so. i had to get up under the chassis and turn ON the fuel tank, when the shop had for whatever reason, turned it OFF....lol

get up underneath, and look for shut off valves?

but you will still have that leak you must take care of too!

you might have to find a stick, tree twig/branch, maybe some rag, stuff it in there and patch it up?

one company i had worked for, supplied us with different sized wooden dowels for such an emergency repair

 

The problem you are still going to have is the fuel return may still go into the tank that has been shutoff. It will still fill if it does.

 

What kind and year of truck... Many newer trucks draw fuel only from the drivers side tank. Most older trucks I've had experience with draw off both tanks.

 

Lowes etc, youre looking for "flare" fitting in brass, get 2 plugs and 2 caps in 5/8" and 1/2".

Remove lines into driver tank, cap and plug.

Its fine, just a pita when fueling. and make note if only driver side tank has your fuel gauge.

If you cant pump to passenger side, plug return line to drivers side, then idle truck to drain driver side.

 

Slosh during transit?

 

Get it fixed right asap, if the leak is detected by a cop, or discovered the patch to be wet, they can put you oos for it.
