    Not sure this would have helped in this case. Sounds like the drunk driver more or less ran him down. Sadly all that will happen is the drunk will get put into some treatment camp and a few years of prison on our dime at "best" or worst depending on your view. Hope the guy is proud of himself.

    I doubt if the "scumbag" will serve one day in prison. The law deals with private citizens different from with truck drivers.

    For vehicular homicide/manslaughter?
    If there’s any justice in this world they’ll find the deepest darkest hole in a North Carolina prison and DIG EVEN DEEPER and put the ***hole in it!

    I hope you are right, but I doubt it. "Justice in this world", maybe once in a blue moon and we are talking about North Carolina(my home state, but not too proud).

    Look at the photo-the truck WAS IN THE GRASS-where the driver broke down there’s practically NO SHOULDER! And the article states the impaired driver went OFF THE ROAD,striking the truck driver!
