    I remember 2 other towns that did the same. One in Ohio and one in Florida. The government got involved and disbanded the police departments and then merged those into a larger town. It worked.
    People were getting tickets for having dust on the rear tail lights and silly things like that.

    I'm guessing that was Lindale, Ohio. They are still at it! Unmanned cams and with no enforcement. So they ticket you and you don't pay unless your a sucker I guess.

    There's some of that goes on here in the southern part of my state .. law enforcement is just a mirage

    Georgiana, a little south of Montgomery, used to have a reputation like that. It wasn't too long ago that the chief of police and most of the cops quit. Probably some politics going on.

    That would be 1 I was thinking of there's 2 border counties that are worse .. Davis Co. & Ringold Co.

    In Texas, towns below 5,000 population are restricted to having revenue from traffic fines to no more than 30% of the city budget. and they have to file with the state comptroller to prove.
