I know this is a long shot. But, are there any companies that would let all five of us carve out a home in their company truck? I guess you could call me a new driver. I have three years of experience, but I still consider myself new.

Oh boy that 8x8 box would get crowded quick with two adults and three dogs. Some companies allow a pet but three might be pushing it unless you lease or own your own truck.

Don’t know of any, not saying there isn’t. It it was my truck, my answer would be absolutely no!

I would actually shoot for 3 spouses and a dog.

I would imagine the size of the dogs would probably be the determining factor.

Here's a dog related funny for you. I was at this HUGE Petro years ago. I don't recall the state, but they had a fenced in "dog park" so to speak. I watched this O/O and his wife come out of the back of one of those HUGE super sleepers with not one, not two, not three, but NINE ankle biters. I got to talking to them because I was interested in seeing the inside of that sleeper. They were really nice and let me check it out and they also explained (because I said "I just gotta ask", lol) the reason for having nine ankle biters in the truck. Apparently, there were only two at one point, but the two decided to have "kids" and the wife didn't have the heart to part with any of the 7 pups. They looked grown when I saw them, but I guess they were only 6 or 7 months old.

If room becomes an issue, the answer is simple, and easy..

    Ditch the spouse.

    ;)

If you lease the truck, which means you pay the expenses and can keep whatever money is leftover, you will probably have several companies. If you haven't done OTR recently you may have to ride with a trainer for a week or so before going on your own, and bringing you team with you. NOBODY I know allows anyone but the CDL driver to go along when riding with a trainer.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
