agreed. most all of them came here to AB for a reason, and that was to work. and work they did, head down and ### up until spring. they sure know how to party. get more than three of them together drinking and they might as well be speaking chinese.

I just gotta order one. Just waiting for the economy to level out before I shell out a couple grand for one.

I understand completely. Figured I'd keep my eyes and ears open for one if the issue was finding one. I know I can get most anything for a b or my c model pretty easily, but I don't see many A's around anymore unless it's a restored show or limited use truck.

Worst I had was 7 day wait for reman cylinders. Could of had them in 2 days if I wanted to pay $300 shipping. Even the spacer plate was only an overnight wait. Heck they had the rod bearings sitting on the shelf lol.

    Flint1 and baha Thank this.

You are not gonna use the auxiliary transmission much. Your pretty much gonna hang it in go and leave it

depending on what kind of load you gotta lift to get moving. I don't think a guy could put it in 4th and take off loaded. 3rd maybe if you aren't too heavy.

Depends on if it's an overdrive box or direct. A 1241 or a 1750. I own a truck with a 15 and a 4. The 4 is a 1241 I leave the back box in 3rd or direct. I really didn't think I would have to clarify what gear is go.....but I forgot that this site is full of......

400 horses isn't enough to pull a double over set up with a .87 over drive in the main and a .81 in the aux. So your gonna choose one or the other

So I could put a 1241 behind my 13 speed and get a higher end ratio than I would with just the 13 right? And I could leave it in direct and use the 13 as normal until I'm in Wyoming and want to go a little quicker?

    Oxbow Thanks this.
