I once took two pallets of newspaper inserts out of Springfield VA on a two stop adventure. First stop, one pallet to the Atlanta Journal. Second stop, one pallet to the Miami Herald. Crazy...

That load could have been put in a U-Haul truck...lol

 

As an FYI, the only leg Thedacare had in their lawsuit was based on the changes to employment law made during the Walker Administration.

 

Has this judge heard that slavery is illegal now?

 

His intent with the tro was to try and get to two hospitals to work it out over the weekend. After the hearing today, the tro was dropped and the workers can proceed as they will.

While I personally disagree with it, and believe the tro would not had withstood an appeal, the judge was within his rights/responsibility to issue it.

The tro isn't the important part of this story. The important part is an at will employer is creating an implied contract out of nothing and the case wasn't immediately tossed. Thedacare has no real case, but due to both the public service union law and the right to work law it can be argued that Acessenion has no right/ability to hire staff from a competing hospital. It makes no logical sense and is anathema to American values and juris prudence, but due to laws forced through with party line votes (along with threats of primary challenges), it's a thing.

Not to brag…. But I once got a hazmat refrigerated pharma load I had to bring to Atlanta. When I showed up to pick it up, they just handed me the ‘Load’
I asked for the box. Had to be kept at 5c
This was the whole load. Was getting shipped internationally out of Atlanta

 

Their situation with their previous employer was one of at-will. There was no contract between them. It's good to hear the tro was tossed.

 

On the subject of big loads. Ncmickey has me beat though.

The tro was tossed, but the case goes on.

IMO Acession should have been granted summery judgment and thedacare should get a slap judgement, but due to the aforementioned laws this dangerous stupidity will go on through at least one round of discovery.
