Still waiting here. Morning dispatch git with CSR and was told to hang tight.

Well took a nap and night dispatch is here and still no update.

Contacted night and they are seeing if I can just start on my next load since Walmart runs can't be late.

Hit some snow today. I made it to Hebron, OH on my way to Louisville last night. It was snow showering from Zanesville to the T/A where I stopped for the night. Then got up this morning, and it was light snow. Shockingly enough, most people were driving like they had some sense. Coming around Cincinnati was wet and snowing. North bound 71/75 on the southside was all borked up because an Enterprise box truck lost it on the ramp getting on the bypass, and a wrecker was recovering him. Then, on 71 north between the KY speedway and the southbound scale it must have gotten slick because there were cars off the road and into the cable barrier. Southbound was fine. I only had 10k and didn't have any issues.

I got to my delivery plenty early, and waited. There was another driver (for some other company) waiting, but when I checked in, the receiver put me in a door 1st. The other driver got pissey with me because he musta thought it was FCFS, but this place, like most of the Idexx unloads, are by appointment and he didn't comprehend the concept of appointments apparently. The receiver basically told him to get out of the way and wait his turn, or leave and reschedule.

Nor do many shippers/receivers understand the concept of appointments.

Got 2 preplans today. First canceled and it was a super nice one too. Picked up in Selah, WA heading to Illinois amd was 2000 miles!

Next preplan they gave me picks up same place same time but going down to Northorn California and only 700 miles.

Ya gotta wonder.....did the first cancel, or was a favor being returned to another driver?

The customer in Louisville got me done just in time for a big push of snow to come thru...and it seemed to be focused on Louisville

And I am light, less than 10k lbs.

Has anyone picked up at Zirkle Fruit? It's drop and hook but won't be ready till 1200 tomorrow. Message makes it sound like a big facility with multiple drop lots while Google images shows a warehouse with just some open spots where the docks are.

Might be. Maybe if I see another shaffer truck picking up at the same time as me I'll know for sure :p

yes it’s a big cluster my drop and hook turned into a live that took like 4 hours in total at two facilities. Matson fruit company like a mile down the road and rest over here at zirkle.

When I had my pick ups there a couple weeks ago I had to load at two of their facilities and I got both stops loaded in just over an hour combined
