My current trailer is an old one, a 837xxx. While it's running it vibrates my whole cab.

    SSB,

I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts despite what some individuals think. I don't know you continue to do this but I am always entertained. I know that you would never be happy with what I do just like I could never do your type of trucking. Having said that, your bunk heater story is amazing and I can relate. Every night when I go to sleep, I always open the bedroom windows. I like it nice and cool at night. Every time my wife comes to bed, she says it's freezing in here. It's been in the high 30's, low 40's here in Mira Loma CA. Keep on doing what you're doing and I hope it gets better for you very soon!

The word I tend to use in situations like this is greedy, but insane also works.

Now that I am not freezing to death, I got the sucker to run. I used a trick that I use at home to get green tree limbs to burn. I got my elcheapo leaf blower out, lined it up pointing at the intake hose of the heater and turned it on. It blew a bunch of black soot out the exhaust. Then, I went inside and turned it on...and clouds of smoke came pouring out of the exhaust, then it died down and you could hear the rumble of it trying to catch, then a big cloud of smoke...then it started running. So, I guess I need to just turbo charge it when I need to fire it up. I am running it wide open on the highest temp it will go for a while to see if it'll burn off any excess fuel that might have flooded it out from last night.

Be careful headed toward DFW. The white death is supposed to hit here tomorrow according to the local forecasters.

Missouri is going to be a mess also. Less than 25k in the box. Don’t plan on moving for a bit

According to MoDOT the app is showing 70 is already snow covered…the ice is what will be the major issue more than anything..
