Sounds right. Think they added an air ride steer axle to it and some fancy mirror brackets

He told me he wanted to be able to walk past a 750 hp ISX through the hills and run 80 mph across Iowa without splitting a gear.......think he learned the hard way that it takes some mighty deep pockets to run a truck like that on the regular! 20 years ago an overhaul kit was $8-10k. Easier to play back then.

I would like to do that too but there's no way I can afford to do that....
JMO.. but that would take 1 heck of a truck to do that

it’s actually not that bad. I have a c16 that does just this.
C16, injectors, c18 cam, turbo manifold and a small safe tune(until I dyno tune it). I always wanted to build a truck that didn’t drag ### up hills. And I was financially able to so I did. I run the west coast. Donner pass, Wyoming Utah etc. spent about 32k with all the after market parts plus the rebuild /build of the motor. I started with the cooling system first and this cat stays #### cool for being a 16L with a 82mm turba
It’s crazy how the truck doesn’t stop pulling but the longer you’re on it the hotter it’s gonna start to get regardless. So I play it safe I guess lol

When I built my C-16, I swapped out the R134 condenser for an R12 unit. Swapped out the Freon too. Then put an ACERT fan on it off of a 625. Did wonders for keeping the water temp in check! A/C cooled way better too. Factory fan was a 9 blade 32” unit. That fan off the 625 was a 34” 11 blade unit that moved a ton more air. Pair that up with a really good 4 core radiator and it worked pretty #### good. My comment about the expense for building an engine like that wasn’t necessarily about the upfront cost. But rather the long term costs if you don’t run them with some common sense. I know a lot of O/O who dug themselves some pretty deep holes after hot rodding their truck......and that was back when overhauls and labor rates were less than half of what they are today. I rebuilt several 6NZ’s and 7CZ’s for $10k. Last I heard it’s closer to $40k these days. Just a different world than it used to be!
