The guy on the bike was in the wrong. Too many people like him think they can take advantage of Truckers and other people. They are bullies and are young and they need to NOT be yielded to. I don't know the law on this , but I feel the Driver did nothing wrong.

In my opinion there could be a couple of violations here:

1) the bicyclist could be charged with a misdemeanor for impeding traffic or blocking a roadway/lane of travel.

2) the truck driver could have been charged with aggravated battery.... a felony.... unfortunately.

I think I would spend my off days driving at 5 Kph in front of them.

Well, there sure seems to be an awful lot of hate towards bicycles in here. I ride 7 miles to the yard along some two lane roads with a shoulder. If traffic is too hot, I usually take a back road. But even the back roads have no escape as the Neanderthals find their way down these and try to assert dominance.

That said, I do everything possible to stay out of these protests. I'll do business boycotts and vote-with-my-wallet as opposed to go out and willingly become a sitting duck.

And no Lycra or anything like that. I ride in street clothes and work boots. If a cyclist can't cycle in regular clothes, then take it back to spinning class.

Since Antifa, BLM and other left/socialist masked protesters are commonly violent the driver could reasonably claim they were in fear for their safety. At that point moving forward at a slow pace to remove yourself from a potentially dangerous situation is the safest thing to do.
