Damage control by an obvious office employee.
3000 miles a week and home every weekend? Really...? I don't think anyone here is gullible enough to believe that lie.bzinger Thanks this. -
Lonesome Thanks this.

Howi see the issue with Halvor Lines is the low mileage pay and what you need to do get the full safety bonus every quarter. I think this company can be a good started company but not Soo much for experienced driver's. I think the issues if resolved here could make this a decent company probably never a great cause they most likely can't afford what a experienced drive wants. This is my honest opinion.
drh72 and loose_leafs Thank this. -
You could maybe get 3000 miles a week here every week...if you never go home. Or keep recapping your 70hrs. But You ain't getting both.
Not in a 64.6 MPH truck that can't get out of its own way. Or the drop and hook lie that these big bottom feeders keep trying to push. It's not a drop and hook if your drop trailer isn't ready for another 4, 8, 12, 16 hrs after you arrive. For example, When a large company tells you it's 85% drop and hook, multiply that number by 33%. That's usually more truthful.
Thet just got another "HUGE" 2 CPM pay raise.
50 cpm now for experienced van drivers. 54 com for reefer. Great pay, if this was 2008. Plus it's zip to zip. Even some of the worst companies have done away with this scam. On a 1200 mile trip you could lose anywhere from 50 to 150 miles.
Their owners/managers of Halvor Lines HATE this page. Because it tells the ugly truth about them. They've actually fired a few drivers they've caught posting here, or made life miserable for them if they were suspected of posting on here.
Their family does not care about your family.teams567, Trucker Paul, Gearjammin' Penguin and 3 others Thank this. -
Drivers to them are disposable as yesterday's trash. Cannot relate how many times we were treated with disrespect by office staff. There are some good people working here maybe 1 or 2 in the safety department and the same for payroll.
The 2 cpm pay increase is just a token really won't amount to much. If someone compares weekly pay before and after net net they will probably be making less.
I would say Halvor is where Shipex was 2 years ago and unless they make serious changes they will be in as bad a shape as Shipex. You can see the deterioration coming and it's sad because Halvor did have potential.bzinger Thanks this. -
Can anyone give an update on Halvor- someone who works there?
Any good/bad news on the company such as miles pay or raises? -
mjd4277, drh72, Boondock and 1 other person Thank this.
