It was definitely not a long, drawn out affair!

I used to love ice fishing when I was younger and lived in northwest Minnesota.

Another activity as cruel as ice fishing when it is cold is snowmobiling.
Know a cpl who was sleding on a cold Sat. night, they was young, having a cpl drinks and they had sex on the back of the sled. Everything went well until she started to move and realized her noop was frozen to the seat. had to rip her off the seat or freeze to death. She went to the Dr. late that evening because of the pain. Dr. claimed he never heard anything like that before. She kept screaming about her boyfriend being an animal.
I trust you ice fishermen aren't like snowmobilers.

A guy from Minnesota I used to work with told me the town would have to organize a cleanup every spring to remove all the trash and feces from people crapping out on the ice all winter. Who would want to deal with that every year?

    Boondock Thanks this.

To cold for me, but i have sneaking suspicion my old man and his cousin would have been the first ones on the ice, and would not have left before dark thirty, even if they had not gotten a single bite.

    Boondock and bzinger Thank this.

Back in my ice fishing days ( the 80s ) we fished in heated houses with lots of amenities that usually involved a card game and beer too.
Times have changed and a 50 mile drive back to Fargo half in the bag after a day of fishing doesent fly anymore .

    Boondock and Hammer166 Thank this.

Right as we finished getting dressed, 3 guys on mountain sleds popped out of the woods. We only heard them 5 seconds before they came into view.
