Current trainee is going to drive for heartland so when possible been striking up conversations at Heartland terminals on how they do things. Seems like heartland drivers are about to reap the benefits of Millis merger with 70mph trucks.

 

How is it decided which part of the company they are going to drive for? Did your student apply for Heartland or was he assigned there so to speak?

 

He lives down by Naples Fl, was told if he wanted to work for Millis he would have to park in Albany but if he worked for Heartland could take his truck home.

 

Wasn't one of the reasons Heartland bought Millis was to get the training program? I thought they wanted it to train students for them too.

 

Yes I think it was. I remember hearing that at the time. The other reason I heard was some of the accounts Millis had.

 

I believe there are either or soon to be training schools at several Heartland terminals. For sure Carlisle Pa, I believe one in Phoenix is either open or about to open. A few more should be starting soon or already open.

 

Don’t know when they changed it, or if anyone else’s has noticed it. But Trenton is no longer Trenton it’s now Hamilton.

 

Are they expanding the Cartersville terminal happened to pass by there the other day and noticed the construction going on?

 

They are rebuilding, building new shop and lounge and paving parking lot.

 

It's always been located in Hamilton.
