Still cheaper than a new one. I plan to be out of the biz by the time it wears out again.

Exactly for this reason people are carrying "meat grinder". Small package, stored anywhere. Retorque to exact specs can be done after getting out of trouble.

I bought one of these a couple years ago. Works awesome. I can't say it's 100% accurate but it must be close. It is a MUCH cheaper way to check big torque numbers if you can't stomach buying a $500 torque wrench for occasional home use.

For me, 99% of the time it's a tire shop pulling my wheels and they use the big guns so I don't have to.

The next time I go to the tire place I'm going to tell those guys to let me torque them with my own torque wrench instead of them over torquing them with that giant air gun.

You still should retorque them after a few hundred miles.

I did my "redneck" calibration. You need to know the lever length and your body weight.
Install lever in horizontal position and step on the lever end.

    86scotty Thanks this.

I agree, seen plenty of his post, always knocking individuals down. Then comes back and apologizes. Seems like a routine for him.

I second CDI too. Good tool for the money. Mine came with a nice padded plastic case but surely most all of them do as much as they cost.

D.Tibbitt, spsauerland and Oxbow Thank this.
