Trying retirement to see if I can handle the pressure. I must admit, I do miss the driving.

You could always pick up a part time job at the local pallet yard. They are usually looking for drivers and always pay for ####. Just tell 'em you're retired and will take cash to drive. And before someone wants to say this doesn't exist or happen? It does. Every single day. lol

Potentially ... Hirschbach may choose to change the terms of the lease to align with the one they offer.

When Knight took over Swift, Knight eliminated Swifts self dispatch broker program on day one.

I would fight that if Hirschbach's lease is worse. You have a legal and binding contract with JCT, who is continuing to operate as a separate entity. They haven't gone under. Read the contract to find out if JCT can pull out of their contractual obligations without cause.

Hirschbach can do what ever it wants and will. They own JCT now and will permit JCT to operate as usual while they develop and implement an integration plan.

Lease contracts pretty much universally have a mutual termination clause.

If that is in the contract, then so be it. If not, one party cannot just violate the terms of said contract because they want to. Been a while since I was at JCT, and I no longer have a copy of their old contract, but any contract can and should be scrutinized by both parties and executed in accordance to the letter. If they do not perform, they are open to litigation. I've sued several entities that decided to modify performance of a written legal contract (landlords, gyms, etc), and have won every time.

I didn't know if hirschbach had a lease or not. Just thought it was odd of a leasing company to sell out.
Did not want to see everyone who is in the lease to lose all their money that they have been paying.
