Welcome to Tax land.
If you live say in TN, you work in AR, you pay AR state tax. -

Find company whos home base will be in Tennessee or Florida and you will not pay state tax -
Is your domicile and cdl in another state?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
You will get any tax you paid in a refund when you file for it. You are a non-resident. More hassle doing this, but tally up at years end and see how much they take out. Then decide if you want to file a tax return in In. I've worked for many co's based in another state and I lived in another state. Also, double check that your co. is not witholding taxes for your home state.

Unless the carrier has a nexus in your state(or any other) it can be a PITA to set up state with-holding only. You can either file exempt or get a refund.
