    Driver Job Types
Dot drivers log lots of miles, are paid well, treated with respect, AND offered flexibility.
The most frequently-asked questions HR coordinators at Dot get when talking to potential drivers are: “What’s the home time like?” and “Do I have to touch freight?”

If you considering Indiana we left a small trucking company to start our own trucking company. They were the nicest most people. They have about 30 trucks decent equipment and actually are located in an area where rent is not all that high. It’s on the outskirts of Evansville if you are serious about moving I can give you the guys name and number and you can see what he offers you. I always said if I had to ever go back to being a company driver that’s the place I would go.

then another option is @Midwest Trucker not sure where he is located but seems like a really nice guy he may be able to hook you up depending where he is located.

Midwest Trucker and Kingty9183 Thank this.

Depending on how much experience you have FCC has a Midwest regional division.

Yes I would like the name of that company thank you. It just seems to me if I’m going to be doing any serious trucking in the future I’m going to have to be located in the Midwest

Indianapolis has a lot of job opportunities, but housing/rent is going up fast. Still reasonable compared to other major cities.

Lafayette IN, which is next door to Purdue University, has FedEx and Old Dominion terminals

I'd probably locate to Joplin or preferrably Springfield ,Mo. Springfield has pretty good bus system, fairly cheap to get by financally.,ton of restaurants ,little less crime than Joplin, but, that's Not saying much. I wouldn't keep any " large" stuff in a mostly abandoned apt.Lots of punk kids and weird " tweakers " there. Lol.Ya, they have Roadway,RL Carriers,Yellow all that stuff. About 12 I can think of offhand.Anyway ,JMO
