places like you're describing will not just land in your lap either.

Most times you have to know someone on the inside to get in the door.

You never hear about them too much either , simply because they don't advertise for help.

They have no need to. The current employees recruit for them.

Ecolab regional chemical delivery out of Chicago pays about $120k. Walmart matches that and I’m thinking the only reason they didn’t fight my inexperienced ### on pay was my Walmart experience on my resume.

not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but a noteworthy point:

99% of the time, it starts with a hazmat endorsement.

Continuing on from my OP about 2-3 pages back with my initial offer from XPO doing LH to Fridley and was told last week about midway through the first day they were bumping me up to top pay and tripled the sign-on/retention bonus effective immediately. Just a straight 430 mi/day + 4 hours dock work (not including task pay, sign-on/ret bonus) will put me at $111,306.xx gross my first-year w/ them. They are hiring brandy new 0-year drivers and the $90k +/- I had originally posted about would be applicable to those new hires with no CDL XP (for better or worse).

Congrats. That's what I have been talking about- salaries for drivers need to go up. In your case they have. And you are working for smart people.

The companies that DONT raise wages in my opinion are going to be left in the dust the next couple years and probably fold and be out of business. Right now it's a turning point in the trucking industry.

Same goes for treatment of drivers. Companies who hire and roll out the red carpet so to speak for exp good drivers will be here 3-5 years from now. The others don't see it coming but they probably won't be around.

I'm talking high sign on bonus (increased during interview) high salary, choice of equipment etc etc
