Canadian truck stops are disgusting, everyone can judge or decide for them selfs why that is. But I hate running Canada even the few miles to get me south of the boarder

In a sense I'm not surprised the restaurant has been closed a long time. Talking with one of the ladies at the gas desk she said the restaurant was going to be shut down before the covid crap finished it off.
I can't say I blame them either, I don't know how many times I've gone in there with the parking lot almost full and only a couple of drivers.Magoo1968, Another Canadian driver and Elroythekid Thank this. -

Flying J's are about the only truck stops in the country that are equivalent to the truck stops in the U.S. that I've seen. The Co-op in Weyburn is decent. Has an actual sit-down restaurant. I guess some of the Petro Passes look alright but I don't have a Petro Pass card so F 'em. The Husky in Medicine Hat probably sets the standard for one of the biggest dumps in the country.

They’re all dumps and for Suncor owning them I’m amazed they’ve never stepped up their game.

Truck stops seem to get used like they owe a service to the trucking industry. It’s kind of why the parking problem exists. It’s not profitable (especially in/near cities) to have a large amount of real estate tied up for users who don’t pay to use it.
As a result of what’s going on at truck stops these days, I think we need to see more paid parking. (Set the fuel cards up to do the transaction). So these places have the revenue to keep the maintenance up and not fall into disrepair.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
