The public school district serving Las Vegas has agreed to sell a site featuring a bomb shelter for more than $1.9 million.
Clark County School District trustees voted Thursday to accept the highest bid they received for the old Arden Yard, a two-acre parcel located at 6665 W. Gary Avenue, near Rainbow Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road.

The winning bid comes from U.S. Express Carriers, a freight company based in Henderson.
Arden Yard was appraised at $990,000 market value in January, according to CCSD documents.
In addition to the surface buildings and features, the property also includes an underground bunker designed during the Cold War for nuclear fallout.
A purchase and sale agreement for the property will have to go before the Board of Trustees by late June.
