Got a $100 ticket for being over length. At the weigh station. No inspection.
DOT and carrier im leased too both said it doesn’t count against any safety points nor my csa.
Carrier also said they haven’t had any luck in fighting these type of tickets and this is a major carrier.
I know this kind of ticket won’t affect csa but will it affect DAC or PSP or just anything down the line ?
I was also looking to move to Landstar n idk if this will affect that
Is it worth fighting an over length ticket in Florida

Is it a, "misuse of equipment", violation?
-
The citation says “operation in violation of length, width and height laws “ -
Get the permit
It’s like $20 for the year and I believe it all online?
I’m not 100% positive on fines but a guy told me he got one and it was $1000????
Not sure if you were actually over length or ?
But I believe a 53’ trailer that has a spread axle opened up is considered over length to them and they can ticket youBean Jr. Thanks this. -
It’s 100 bucks in Florida. Just pay it and go on about your day

If it doesn't effect cda, it won't effect psp. It's the same data.
As for dac, that's up to the company to decide.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
blairandgretchen Thanks this.

FMCSA will put anything and everything they possibly can on your record. They think they can decide for themselves if something is a violation. Then the Officer on site has to go back and tell them to remove it.
Two DOT officers in two different States told me. The FMCSA is an unwanted brat of a stepchild. -
bumper Jack Thanks this.

No. Just avoid the FloRidians. They’re trying to be like the Commefornians but not quite there yet.
