Today was a first never had anyone fail their pre-trip. Just didn’t fail but bombed it.

I can't remember where I picked that up. Warvel/worvel = bot fly larvae, though.

    MIT Thanks this.

When you guys are asked to give an eta how much cushion do you put in the eta? I always put a couple hours for any unforeseen circumstances. Every once in awhile I’m called out on it. Just wondering.

Always depends on length of the load. The longer the load the more of a cushion. 2ish hours or so. The shorter the load the less of a cushion I’d give.

    MIT Thanks this.

Same here. You look good if you're early and you're ok if you're on time.

    MIT and dwells40 Thank this.

Like others have said, it depends on how long the trip is, among other factors. The way I see it is it's better to overestimate how long it's going to take and then look like a goober when I show up super early for an appointment that I essentially set myself than it is to arrive late for an appointment that I've essentially set myself. So far nobody has called me out on it.

Still undecided, JOHNQPUBLIC and MIT Thank this.

It's cold here in Spiceland compared to what it was in VA yesterday. I should probably put pants on but earlier today I heard this guy in the CB and he had all these feelings and opinions about drivers wearing shorts, especially when it's cold. So I think I'm gonna keep the shorts.

If the driver I'm talking about reads this or if anybody else has an opinion, PM me and I'll send you my cashtag so you can start paying me and then maybe I'll start dressing however you feel a "professional" driver should dress.

Fwiw they're cargo shorts, not basketball shorts and I'm still wearing boots and not flip flops, not that it matters.

Drivers seem to have a big problem with minding their ####ing business about ithings that have ####-all to do with them.
