Found this one night when I stopped. People are clueless.

 

Never been to what I hear is a horrible place

 

Ok I'm here and being unloaded a full hour before my appt. While this place will never top my list of favorite places to go, there's plenty of places I've been that are worse.

Protip: Follow the last set of directions in the macro. The ones that have you take Exit 48B of WB 90/94 onto North Avenue/IL 64. Yes there's like 7 or 8 miles of city streets and traffic lights but it's not awful. Google reviews made these out to be as difficult as Lexington Avenue and they're not like that at all, even for non-backing me.

I think I set a record for time wasted weighing a load today. Between the crowd at the first place I tried to get into, the broken down truck at the second and the third was a Pilot that was your typical pilot. And that wasted time meant stopping before I got to Atlanta which means more traffic there....☹️

 

Especially pay attention to the last step where it says to turn left onto Ohio and circle around to Ferdinand instead of turning left off Kilbourn onto Ferdinand. This will put the docks on your left. Poor Werner guy either didn't know that or wanted to practice his blind side backing today. He was trying to back in when I got there and was still trying to get it straightened out after I had backed in.

 

Lol here is my day. Started it at noon in Columbus Ohio, drive to Zanesville, Ohio. 70 miles. Drop trailer in drop spot pick up rejected trailer and take it to Loves for them to fix. Roof leak. Sit at loves for 3 hours finally get called in. They couldn’t find leak. Take trailer back to Zanesville, they have yet to start loading trailer I dropped earlier, put rejected trailer in door which they start loading. Here I sit waiting and wondering.

 

13 hours yesterday 162 miles. Started at noon finished at 01:30. Just one of those days. After the leaky roof fiasco. Was given a loaded trailer, after hooking up and pulling it out of docks turned out to be another Millis drivers loaded trailer. Shipping clerk gave trainee wrong paperwork. Everything was same except for load number. So was told to back under leaky roof trailer and sat there for hours waiting for the lab results before being allowed to leave.

 

I don't feel so bad about going to get a shower at Pilot and leaving after finding out they had a line.

 

Ugh ####. I haven't had a day like that in awhile, thank goodness. Whenever I do, though, dispatch usually hooks me up for the rest of the week, even after I've gotten salty with them. Hopefully they do the same for you.
