I wouldn’t park long at any business that’s on that street in any town .

guaranteed to be a high crime area .

Unless they manage to sue him or try to get him for property damage.

I think booting is a ######## practice but I don’t want some guy to make it worse by cutting off a boot and going to jail

Many ways to get a boot off, many ways to get the guy who put the boot on to take it off too

    alds Thanks this.

Put a trail of roller dogs in front of the boot guy leading to the back of your trailer, lock him in and tell him he’ll be delivered to China in a container if he doesn’t unlock your boot.

use WD40 to take apart the boot

bribe the boot guy with 1 year of Netflix subscription coupons

take your personal foot boot off and put it on his tire, offer to trade boots?

    just gotta be creative

I passed by this truck stop a lot back when I worked for good ol' Big Orange.

I recommend that you avoid this place, anyway.

Unless things have miraculously changed, the lighting (or should I say, the lack thereof) in the parking lot at night is especially bad.

The truck parking area is tighter (and trashier) than what I would say is average.

And yes, it's not in the best part of town.

Also--when making a truck area exit turning north on US 431--it's actually dangerous (at least, in my opinion). The exit is such that you're on a hill, and you can't see traffic coming southbound until it's too late! This is a GREAT place for a traffic light (unless one has recently been installed).

Use the CAT scale there (if you have to) and be gone.

There's a Love's not far from there, also in Phenix City. But it's classic Love's parking (not many available spaces).

I even used the CAT scale up at the Love's, instead.

Yes, sadly....the Columbus, GA & Phenix City, AL areas are pretty skimpy on overnight truck parking options.

I simply ran my clock so that I had access to parking elsewhere, in either AL or GA.

I would submit that....in all fairness....if you drive a truck for a living....you deserve MUCH BETTER than what this place offers!!!:rolleyes:

This is why I carry a cutoff wheel. Just leave the pieces behind, If its not a Police Boot cut it off and leave.

Yes, that Marathon in Phenix City has always been a rathole. The little restaurant that used to be next door
is closed (AGAIN) and the shop isn't as good as it once was.
