Trans noise.

    When i was in the service i was working on ground support equip.
    On a carrier.
    And we used to put STP oil yreat in tge transmission with the tran. Oil.
    There was alot of hard gear slamming into D,R i mean alot when moving aircraft around to reset for next launch.
    The STP seem to sticj to gears in return the fluid stuck to the STP keeping gears lubed.
    Dont know if it worked nut thibgs see ti go smoother .
    What eould happen if i put it in my eaton 13 speed.
    Serious answers pkeas.

    Its all snake oil IMO. Its a constant mesh transmission and if the oil level is correct there will be more than enough oil being slung around to keep things lubricated.

    You would be wasting your money. They will last plenty long with proper treatment and oem spec oil

    AModel sees through it. It’s snake oil. My trucks are all train tractors so everything south of the clutch gets tortured. I run synthetic in transmissions and differentials. Even the old 6+4’s run 20-25deg cooler than they did with mineral in them. The big thing is the OEM coolers. Throw it away and put and atmospheric cooler on it. At least if it fails it’ll leak oil on the ground instead of filling your transmission full of anti-freeze.

    Tower was worn out and had hollow shift bar .
    Replaced and noise is minniable ,thanks
