Does it mean "a reefer OR a dry van" (53 feet), or does it mean strictly a reefer? This is C.H. Robinson I'm looking at.

    Thanks

can't you just call them and ask?

seems to me, they want reefers that are vans, not flatbed reefers.

It's a rookie not wanting to look dumb thing. However the way I read it is certainly that either a van or a reefer (with the refrig unit turned off) will do.

Here let my get my crayons and follow along if you can (cause its pretty complicated ).. it means they have a load that can either go in a reefer or a dry van .. but it has to be a 53' trailer....
I hope to God your not a O/O... ( that's short for Owner Operator).. cause you probably might wanta think about a change of career

    understandable.

but many times, companies have requirements that change from time to time, and we cannot keep up with all of them.

this is why, sometimes, it's best to just call.

although, from what i "gather" the bottom line requirement is a 53' long "enclosed" trailer.

Heck for sure, you should have decking for the 53ft to make it 2 stories tall?

53 foot trailer required. Trailer can be 53 foot dry van or 53 ft reefer. It cannot be less than 53 feet. 48 foot trailers used to be more common than now.
NO 48 FOOT TRAILERS for that load.

We figured. Might as well ask about FAK while you're here, it's usually paying decent, but a bas tard to haul.

And then half the time you get there the freight would have fit in a 48 easily. Some brokers just always say they need a 53.
