    Soo if you're paying ...
    near $1 a mile for fuel
    $0.70 a mile for a driver
    Payments on $200,000 for truck/trailer
    Insurance
    Maintenance with prices to the moon

    All with TQL wanting you to haul that Van around for $2 a mile...
    How do you survive? :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Big_D409, Jarhed1964 and RefMata Thank this.

    Yeah had a customer quoted $3,300 by a major broker to move a van load 560 miles in the SE. 15 day average on DAT us $1,500.

    They can quote all they want, does not mean they gonna get it, if shippers get quotes from other brokers or carriers.
    When freight is slow, brokers call all the shippers and compete to get the freight, just like trucking companies do.
    It might take some time for shippers to catch up, but they are not stupid and can see shifting market conditions

    Yep and with companies like freight waves don’t think shippers arent pretty informed as well if they have much spend at all. Easier then ever to have a pulse on things. Makes changes quicker IMO.
