Anyone pulling 100k or more with an m11 celect?
I have a spare dump truck I was thinking about using to pull my lowboy while I restore my w9. It’s a former concrete truck, good and heavy but no high powered operation. It’s 330hp with an 8ll.

It’ll do it, but I’m sure it’ll yank the starch out of it, I used to run a 92 FLD with M11 at 330, 9 speed pulling a hopper.
Good little engine but no power house.Crude Truckin', D.Tibbitt, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
Back in the day I pulled 120K with a 318 Detroit , I'm sure that M11 will do better then that Detroit did!

8ll has pretty big gaps which I am afraid with a small engine is going to make it hard to get the big holeOxbow, cke and Star Rider Thank this. -
It was a 13 speed , usually only saw 13 when I was empty

We have a couple M11 equipped trucks in the yard now, that came out of California, 4300 gal fuel tanks on a tandem axle, w/pintel hitch that pulled 5000 gal pup trailers. Super 10, or Road Ranger 10 speeds.

How low is it geared? It won’t be fun.

That said 100k isn’t that much weight.

Here in TX, still limited to 80,000 lbs, or approx 7,200 gal of diesel fuel. In NM, we can legally scale 92,000 lbs(IIRC).
Oxbow Thanks this. -
