First off, I want to apologize in advance if this needs to be in another thread or group. I wasn’t sure exactly where it would fit in.
I have been looking into getting back into the trucking industry for some time now. I have done my research and have finally decided on a company.
I was in the industry briefly (approx 2 months) when I had to quit due to family issues. After I got out of the Air Force, I joined Roehl through their Honor Program back in 2007. There was no commitment through this program. About 2 months in, I reached out to my FM and asked what I needed to do to quit the right way. She told me that I would be routed to Atlanta to turn all of my equipment in. I went to Atlanta and did just that. I handed all of my cards and keys to one of their personnel and asked if I needed to do anything else. They said I was good to go.
Now let’s fast forward 15 years and my recruiter now tells me I’m not hireable at this time because Roehl has me down as terminated-involuntary.
First off, I thought they only went back 10 years?
Second, my recruiter gave me a website where I could dispute that through driveriq.
I actually spoke with someone a few hours ago to get that dispute started.
My question is has anyone else ever been in this type situation? Has anyone ever had to get something disputed through driveriq? Does anyone know how good they are about handling disputes? The question I am really interested in is in your own opinion, how likely do you think I might have my dispute turned into voluntary?
I appreciate any and all thoughts on this matter as well as any advise to help my situation.

Move on with your life and don't dwell on the Roehl incident.

I appreciate that. I do have my heart set on pursuing on but I have to get that changed before they will even consider me

Are you trying to go back with Roehl?
Do you still have a CDL?

No, I’m going with another company. Funny thing you mention about going back to Roehl…they will hire me back if I wanted to go that route; it’s just not a good fit for my current situation.
I have a B class, but not an A. I’m currently a school bus driver

Why are truck companies so scummy that they have to do crap like this? They're like the ex-girlfriend who keys your car.

Man that's a tough break, it sounds like you may have to start from scratch and get in order to get it updated to back to class A. What company did you settle on?

I was looking into Prime to get my CDL and back on the road. They are the ones who informed me of the hiccup. I know for a fact I can go back to Roehl in their GYCDL. Boy wouldn’t that Prime recruiter convo be hilarious. “We cant hire you because Roehl said they fired you. Me: Funny because I’m driving for them as we speak

    I definitely will

I did receive a document from Tenstreet (the company Roehl uses). That form says I did quit. Reason was left blank. Rehirable says review. I’m thinking my dispute may turn out in my favor. Let’s all hope so anyway
